Profile & Description
Work as member of the Reporting and Data Management team supporting the day-to-day requests for assistance from ISS and business user areas. Evaluate requests for new or changed functionality, develop alternatives, perform testing, and support the implementation of system functions
Duties:
• Analyze system problems, determine root cause, initiate corrective action, and provide follow up to ensure that correction is made.
• Understand SQL best practices, tips, and tricks; Innovate in the usage of SQL or SAS.
• Understand business requirements and validate / ask appropriate follow-up questions to translate business need into technical requirements for data processing.
• Coordinate training and provide technical support to end users.
• Draft new or revise existing procedures and forms for assigned projects.
Required:
• Associate’s degree with relevant coursework in computer science or data processing and three years’ related work experience in business application systems design, testing, and writing related documentation and procedures. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
• 3 years of SQL Experience.
• Experience with proper SQL/SAS testing procedures and strong understanding of deciphering results for accuracy.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems independently.
• Self-Starter, ability to communicate equally with business and technical staff.
• Basic knowledge of the technical environment including languages and databases.
• Good written and spoken communication and though-leadership skills.
• This job’s responsibilities may include task assignment to support, administer, or access systems, which contractually requires ADP I or II Public Trust Access Level. Eligibility for ADP Clearance requires US Citizenship.
Highly Desirable:
• SAS Programming Experience.
• Experience in the insurance industry, specifically with the health care industry.
